Pittura a fresco

In the ancient fresco painting technique, the pigment spread on the still-wet plaster undergoes the process of carbonation: during the drying phase, the colour remains permanently embedded in the wall. The unique variant is the transportability of the plastered and frescoed panels, works of art with unique subjects frozen in pictorial immobility.
